I'm excited today. You wanna know why? It's because of Naruto.

"But Lars, Naruto is a totally lame kid show on Cartoon Network with the same old voices we already heard too many times on DragonBall Z, how could you be excited about something like that?"

Well I'll tell you... you see, on the other side of the world, there's a magical land called Japan, full of giant robots and ninjas and Godzilla is there, and in Japan, Naruto is a good show, full of blood and drama and humor and believable acting and the themesongs run at full-length.

"But Lars, Naruto has been running filler episodes that don't advance the plot for over a year..."

Yes, they WERE. But that is over. On Wednesday night, good little Japanese boys and girls were able to watch a show that actually advanced the story... Naruto is now post-filler and reborn as Naruto Shippuuden. It's three years later, and it's time to find out what REALLY HAPPENS NEXT. I'm as excited as I was when I first started watching, over four years ago!

"But Lars, I don't live in Japan and I don't speak Japanese..."

Huh... you may have me there. If only there was a way to view those episodes right now, with subtitles instead of those crappy voiceovers...

Oh well, I'm sure we'll think of a way...

Lars: dude, naruto went back to the manga today

Patrick: yeah?
Patrick: went back?
Patrick: did it....did it break up with the manga?
Patrick: after a tearful...wait what

Larse: not exactly... it was a trial separation... the anime felt that the manga wasn't moving fast enough, so its been running with filler for about a year... but now the anime feels that it's comfortable with the space, so it's following the manga again

Patrick: hahahah
Patrick: hahahaha

Lars: hahahahah that worked pretty well eh?

Patrick: god yes
