          The Guardian Collection: Volume 2

Did I say six new comics? I meant EIGHT.

All of these comics originally ran in the UCSD Guardian, my college newspaper. As such,
they make far more sense if you think of them in the context of college.

The most common recurring theme of Guadian Blockheads;
my vendetta against UCSD parking continues.

I realize that there are no universal truths and that we're all individuals,
but when something is true 90% of the time, I still count it.
I welcome any and all of you to collect your own data, by showing around this comic.

Early last summer I was having a bit of a dry spell in my love life. The situation changed,
but the seeming lack of available women at the time gave me the idea for this story arc.
I ran it in the Guardian because it seemed like it worked better in the context of college,
but now that it's been completed you can read the whole thing!

This comic is an imaginary conversation that I had in my head while I was on a treadmill.

Honestly, who hasn't done this?
(Realization: I drew their backpack shoulder-straps but not their backpacks.)

These last two comics were meant to address any real-life concerns anybody had about
my state of mind regarding relationships. Hopefully they drive home two points:
1. I'm not being serious and
2. Leaving your boyfriend for me is probably a bad idea.

Whew, got the update up as promised. Who knows, this might even become a habit.

In other news I might getting sick... I have a little cough. So that sucks.

But you know what doesn't suck? This new movie Enchanted.
Now I know what you're thinking, "but Lars, that movie looks dumb." And you're right, it does look dumb, the marketing is... well... it just doesn't do that movie justice. The premise was a cute idea, but rather than falling short of that promise, (as hollywood so often does,) they ended up with something better than you would have expected. The movie is funny, and heart-felt, but surprisingly SMART and well made. It's as if the tradition of the Disney princess movie realized how unrealistic it was, made fun of itself, and grew up a little; but revitalized its credibility in the process.
A must see, in my opinion.
