THE REGULARS

Blockhead #'s 1 & 2

a.k.a. Blockhead A and Blockhead B,
or "The one on the left and the one on the right."

Shown here not because these are specific characters, but because this is the most common format for a Blockhead comic. I consider these to be two random guys who just happen to be the subjects for that day, but if you prefer to think of them as the same two guys, that probably works too. I mean you can generally assume some kind of prior relationship anyway, but usually the situations, dynamics, number of Blockheads, and even names are all there to make the scenario feel more natural or more likely there to serve the joke, and they have no other purpose. Or do they??

Ugly Buttkins
...or just Ugly, or Buttkins, or... Butt.

By some twist of fate, possibly involving cruel parents, Ugly Buttkins has been cursed with a rather unfortunate name. Yes, it is not a nickname or a joke, that is his REAL given first name. Despite the unflattering two words, Ugly Buttkins is not especially ugly, nor is there anything wrong or notable about his posterior. And yet children can be cruel, and the experiences of his youth have left him a little sensitive about the whole issue, even now that he is older. These early memories have not been wasted however, because Ugly Buttkins carries with him the kindness and sensitivity that only open ridicule can foster. Ultimately these qualities have won him true friends, and the acceptance he had always longed for.

First Appearance - Second - Three Parter...

Pimpy MacPlaya
A pimp, a mack, a player.

Pimpy MacPlaya is a respected member of the community. Or at least, he's respected by the neighborhood scamps who don't know any better. He's tough as nails but has a heart of gold, which is actually the source of some inner conflict for him. He often is seen giving advice to little Billy, who believes Pimpy to be wise and experienced on the subject of love and women. I still don't know what Pimpy does for a living.

First Appearance - Second - Third - A Story!

Billy,
the Kid
No relation to the cowboy of the same name.

Billy is a kid. He's ten years old and in the fifth grade, but don't let that fool you. This kid has a voracious curiousity about the ways of the world, and this has led him to such a thorough grasp of science that he tends to annoy his teachers. Conversely, the challenges of everyday life are difficult for him to understand, after all he is only ten and is naive of many experiences. However, Billy recognizes this in himself, and so can often be seen trying to make up for this by seeking advice from Pimpy or Mister, who both live in his neighborhood.

Hey Mister
AKA: Mister, or that guy talking to Billy

Hey Mister looks very much like other generic Blockheads, but he can be identified by the fact that he gives advice to Billy, just as Pimpy does. Mister's particular brand of homespun wisdom is a little different... He's done a lot of living but he is largely self-educated, so it's hard to predict what he'll say next. Many people consider Mister to be a redneck.
